Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the mobile application ("App"), visit its promotional website ("Website"), or contact support. It covers both the App and Website.
1. OVERVIEW
The App scans card images on your device and stores your collection on your device. To show an estimated card value, the App obtains price information from a third-party online database.
The Website provides information about the App, links to the App Store, and offers a support contact form. It uses only cookies necessary for basic operation.
The App does not require you to create an account. It does not display advertising.
2. INFORMATION PROCESSED ON YOUR DEVICE
When you use the camera to scan a card, the App processes the image on your device to identify the card. The scanned image is not uploaded to our servers for recognition.
Card information and collection entries you save are stored on your device. We do not receive a copy of your locally stored collection through an account or cloud-synchronization feature.
Your device's operating system may provide its own backup features. Those backups are controlled by your device and Apple settings, rather than by an account in the App.
3. PRICE LOOKUPS
To display a card's estimated price, the App makes a request for price information from a third-party online database. The request may include information identifying the card. As with other internet requests, the service receiving the request may also receive technical information, such as an IP address.
The third-party price provider may handle information under its own privacy practices. The App does not need to upload the card photograph to request a price.
4. SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION
Subscriptions and free trials are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment information and billing. The App may receive information needed to determine whether a subscription or trial is active and to make paid features available.
We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple. For information about Apple's handling of purchases and payment data, consult Apple's privacy information.
5. SUPPORT FORM INFORMATION
When you submit the Website's support form, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter. The message is delivered to our support email inbox.
We use this information to understand your request, reply to you, follow up when necessary, and keep a record of the correspondence. Please do not include passwords, payment card details, identity documents, or other sensitive information in your message.
You may also use the support form to make a request about your personal information.
6. WEBSITE TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND COOKIES
When you visit the Website, basic technical information may be processed to deliver and secure it. This may include your IP address, browser or device information, and information included in ordinary web requests.
The Website uses only cookies necessary for its basic operation, such as cookies required for security or form processing. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent the form or other Website functions from working.
7. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
We use information for the following purposes:
- processing card images on your device so the App can identify cards;
- saving and displaying your collection on your device;
- requesting and displaying estimated card prices;
- checking subscription status and enabling paid features;
- operating and protecting the App and Website;
- responding to support and privacy requests; and
- meeting legal obligations or addressing specific legal claims when necessary.
We do not sell support-form information or use it to send marketing messages without a separate basis for doing so.
8. LEGAL BASES WHERE THE GDPR APPLIES
Where the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") applies, processing needed to provide the App's requested functions and subscription features may be based on performance of a contract with you.
Processing support requests and necessary technical information may be based on our legitimate interests in assisting users, operating the App and Website, and protecting them from misuse. Some processing may be necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Where a particular activity requires consent under applicable law, we will request that consent before carrying it out.
9. WHO MAY RECEIVE INFORMATION
Our Website hosting and email providers may process information needed to deliver the Website and support messages. Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions under its own policies.
The third-party card-pricing service receives requests needed to return price information. The information it receives may include a card identifier and technical information associated with the request.
We may disclose information where required by applicable law or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the App, Website, users, or our legal rights.
10. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
The Website hosting provider, email provider, Apple, or third-party card-pricing provider may process information in a country other than the one where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, an appropriate transfer mechanism must be used.
11. HOW LONG INFORMATION IS KEPT
Scanned card images and collection information processed locally are not stored on our servers. Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it through the App, where that option is available, or remove the App and its data from your device. Device backups may be subject to your operating-system settings.
We keep support emails for 12 months after submission or the last correspondence about the request, whichever is later. We then delete them unless longer retention is necessary for a legal obligation or a specific legal claim.
Technical information is retained only for as long as necessary for the applicable operational or security purpose, subject to the settings of the relevant service provider.
Subscription records held by Apple are subject to Apple's retention practices. The third-party price provider controls retention of information it receives through price requests under its own practices.
12. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, correction or deletion of it, restriction of or objection to certain processing, or a portable copy of certain information. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
To make a request about information we hold, use the support form in the Contact Us section of the Website. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Because scanned images and collection entries are stored on your device rather than in an account on our servers, we generally cannot access or delete that local information for you. You can manage it on your device.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription.
13. CHILDREN'S INFORMATION
The support form should be used only to send information needed for a question or support request. Please do not include unnecessary information about a child. If you believe personal information about a child has been submitted inappropriately, contact us through the support form so we can review the request.
14. SECURITY
We use reasonable measures to protect information handled through the Website and support email. You should also protect access to your device, since your collection is stored locally. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
15. EXTERNAL SERVICES
The App Store, third-party pricing service, and any other external services have their own privacy practices. This Policy describes how the App and Website operate; it does not replace those services' privacy policies.
16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy when the App, Website, service providers, or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version with a revised effective date and provide additional notice where required by law.
17. CONTACT
For questions about this Policy or requests concerning information we hold, use the support form in the Contact Us section of the Website.
